How long has your company been in business?
Musically In Motion has been performing at various events since 2002.
Are your DJ's trained to handle different types of events?
Our DJ's years of experience has equipped them with great knowledge which allows them to be very versatile with the ability to perform at best at any event
What are the various services that you offer?
We consider ourselves to be a full service entertainment company where we cater to a wide range of events large or small. We offer photobooth access, intelligent lighting and effects, high quality speakers, live band, Dry Ice/Fog effects, cordless micrphone and consultation services.
Do you offer a wide variety of music?
Over the years we have collected thousands of music from all genres. If you are worried that we might not have a song that you would like to be played at your event, we provide a Special Music Request Form that you can add your song choices to upon booking. We can also buy or download music from iTunes on the spot.
Will the DJ play requests?
Our DJ's never get tired of taking requests from your guests taking into consideration that they do not conflict with your preferences and disrupt the overall flow and energy of your party.
What will the DJ wear to my event?
Certainly your DJ will be dressed appropriately for your wedding or party. Their attire depends on the event but is always appropriate yet professional. In the case of a wedding, corporate event or school prom, your DJ will be dresed in a suit and tie.
Do you have back-up plans if something goes wrong?
Musically In Motion consists of various DJ's and have access to multiple equipments and vehicles should any misfortune occur.
Is equipment set-up and take-down included?
In our packages or when we give you a quote, we always include set-up and take-down times. So for example if we indicate the times as from 2:00pm to 12:00am, we will arrive at least 1 to 2 hours prior to 2:00pm to start our set-up and do a sound check and will finish playing music at 12:00am or within a grace period of 30 minutes after the finishing time to start taking down our equipment.
Will your DJ's be interactive with the crowd?
This depends on wether you prefer us to be just friendly and play great music or prefer us to be more outgoing and engage the crowd. During consultation you can let us know what is your preference.
What are your payment terms?
We require that you pay 15% of total package fee or confirmed fee after consultation with us. The balance is then due seven business days before the date of your wedding or event.
Do I need to tip the DJ?
We do not go to any event with the expectation to be tipped neither is it a requirement for you to tip us. Tipping is solely based on your discretion and if you feel that the DJ has done a good job , and would like to express your appreciation by tipping the DJ any amount
Do you charge for overtime?
We offer a grace period of 30 minutes after finishing time so charges may apply for time beyond the 30 minutes.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept visa/mastercard, cash and certified cheques.
Do I have to provide a meal for your DJ?
The provision of a meal for any of our DJ at your event is completely based on your discretion so the answer is no.
Are your DJ's willing to travel far out?
Yes. We do cater to destination weddings to some extent. We are willing to travel far distances within Canada to cater to your event which may attract a minimal fee depending on the overall distance.
Do your DJ's take breaks often?
We only take bathroom emergency breaks and if this happens during an important aspect of your wedding or event, we have extended versions of songs that will give us time to get to the bathroom and back.
Do you supply a written contract?
Yes we do provide a written contract for the protection of both parties. We use clear and precise wording so that there will be no misunderstanding.
