Frequently asked questions
What products are available?
Approved dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid include
Teosyal® - by Teoxane,
These are safe, effective injectable gels that restore volume to the skin, lifting and smoothing out wrinkles and folds.
How long does the effect persist?
Natural looking results are visible immediately and can last up to 2 years - depends on everybody's body, the way it is absorbed.
next procedure will require injection of a smaller amount of the preparation.
The specially created formula makes those fillers stable and slow-to-absorb. Since the injected hyaluronic acid promotes regeneration properties of the epidermis and derma, even after 2 years wrinkles will not become as deep as before; therefore, next procedure will require injection of a smaller amount of the preparation.
Is this procedure safe?
Hyaluronic acid is safe when injected appropriately. Rarely, hyaluronic acid may cause allergic reactions. Side effects are temporary and should only last a few days. They may include:
Bleeding from the injection sites
Swelling and bruising
Redness and tenderness at the site of the injection
Call me immediately if you experience extreme swelling or develop a fever.
Is botox painful?
Botulinum toxin does not produce pain, although some people find the injection slightly uncomfortable.
In most areas you will need several injections.
How does the skin look after injecting botox?
Usually, the impact starts to be visible on the 3nd – 7th day, however, sometimes the effect fully manifests within 14 days.
Mimic muscles are relaxed and the skin becomes even.
The effect lasts for 4 to 6 months. Emotions can be expressed like before, however, they are not accompanied with increased wrinkles of face skin.
Are there side effects to botox?
Side effects are very rare and temporary if they do occur. The practitioner will always explain the very slight possibility of side effects before treatment, but for virtually all Botox treatments, side effects do not occur.
For how long does botox last?
The effect lasts for 4 to 6 months.
How does mesotherapy work?
A topical anaesthetic is applied before the active ingredients are injected directly under the skin. Products then work within the areas injected to hydrate, brighten, lift and firm the skin. Multiple levels of the skin are treated, and the nutrients used are directly tailored to your needs.
What can I treat with mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy treats a diverse range of skin concerns to which we tailor the nutrients used depending on your needs.
It is used to treat:
tired-looking or dull skin,
visible signs of ageing.
When will I see my results?
Some clients may see their results immediately, but they will continue to develop as the skin reacts and changes with the nutrients. After around 4-6 weeks, you should begin to see your visible results.
What areas can be treated with AquaGold?
This procedure is most often used on the face, but it can be used on the neck, decolletage, and other areas.
What does microneedling with Dermapen treat?
Microneedling is an incredibly versatile treatment that tackles all manner of skin complaints. It can significantly improve the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles, rosacea, enlarged pores, acne scarring, and sun damaged or hyperpigmented skin. It can also be used to introduce a youthful glow and vibrancy to ageing, dull, or tired-looking skin.
How does Dermapen (microneedling) work?
The handheld Dermapen™ is glided over the skin and creates tiny punctures in the skin, stimulating the wound healing response with intense renewal, repair, and rejuvenation. This not only adds volume to the skin from the inside-out but encourages a positive skin cell turnover as the skin heals.
Any side effects of Dermapen (microneedling)?
One of the benefits of microneedling is that it requires very little downtime. Immediately after treatment your skin will appear red and flushed, and you may feel some tightness and sensitivity and dryness. These side effects should only last 2-3 day or so, and you can return to work immediately after treatment. The damaged skin cells are either repaired or sloughed away, revealing clearer and brighter skin in their stead.
How many treatments do I need and how often?
We recommend starting with a course of 3-6 treatments.
Treatments are normally 3-4 weeks apart.
When can I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment.
Lasting and more significant results continue to improve over the next 6 - 12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post-treatment skincare plan from your therapist.
